OK, may I just be honest and say that I suffer from a slight affliction of the vanity. I like to be aesthetically pleasing, to say the least. Anyway, this summer I have favored a pale pinkish toe nail polish by OPI called "I Pink I Love You". However, I find that a pale pink polish responds negatively to the pool's mix of chlorine/bromine. It seems to fade and then chip really fast. Now, bright colors do not necessarily do this, but like I said, this is a pale pink summer for me, and between the running and the swimming, my toes are taking a beating.
So, I swim in a morning swim class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday that is quite challenging. When I started attending this masters level class, my 100 times started dropping. This week for instance I swam 1:25s for about 5 hundreds, before finishing the eight remaining hundreds at 1:30ish. Confession: I pretty much died at the end. It was a great workout however. Anyway, after we finished out Monday swim (a 3500 yard workout), I noticed that Jaimie, who leads our masters swim class had a beautiful French Pedicure. I immediately asked her how she maintained her pedicure in the pool. She told me, and I admit I am still stunned by the information, THAT THE NAILS WERE FAKE AND SHE BOUGHT THEM AT THE GROCERY STORE. Well, you could have knocked me over with a feather. Shock and Awe, my friends. Shock and Awe. SO, I immediately went to my local Publix and purchased a set of Dazzle Toes for approximately six dollars, and I could not be more thrilled with the results. THRILLED, I tell you.
I sat down after the baby went to bed, and glued and filed the fakes into the perfect French Pedicure. I ran in them this morning, and the pedicure held up perfectly. Tomorrow will be the real test when I do kick drills with flippers. Flippers are the real test of any pedicure and many a pedicure of mine has not been man enough to withstand flippers. Jamie says her fake French Pedicure holds up under the stress of flippers. I will have to see. I will let you know this very important information tomorrow.
I posted four pictures of my toes. I was afraid that one picture would not convey the splendor of my supermodel toes in gold strappy sandals.

I'm just sayin, that is some funny shit right there! You almost had me sold on the fake toenails that I don't even care about. They look fantastic, though. I bet you would just love to give me a makeover, wouldnt you:)
I think everyone deserves dazzle toes!!
