Wednesday: Swim

It occurs to me that regardless of the fact that yesterday was Fat Tuesday, I was RATHER cavalier with my carbs.  The Fat Tuesday pancake dinner was one thing, but I also had a bit of a muffin meltdown in Bible study, and that much refined flour just cannot be good for my constitution.  Today, I have not really felt in my zone and you know, I cannot help but blame my Bisquick level carbohydrate consumption.  Today has been rather better, and I gotten more than my servings of fruits and vegetables and even a glass of V8.

Now, this morning, we were out the door to swim on time, we arrived on time, Sloan the Younger walked into the gym all of his own accord which is a small wonder.  Typically, I stagger into the gym carrying my swim bag, swim toys, diaper bag, some sort of beverage for swim and balanced on the tippy top of the pile is my child.  It is a Herculean effort every morning and I generally count it as one-eighth of my workout.  Today, is was an easy walk in.

At swim, I was on deck on time and got in about 2800 meters:

  • 200 swim
  • 200 kick
  • 200 IM
  • 200 pull
  • 6 x 50 choice @ 1:00
  • 12 x 25 alternate back/ breast @ :35
  • 3 x 100 IM @ 1:45
  • 8 x 75 free build 1:30
  • 3 x 200 descend @ 3:30
  • 300 swim cool down
At home, it seems that my mounds of paperwork have made me forget about Gilad and Yoga, which are both pretty important and needs be re-added.
