Today, I overslept and was late to swim. I had been doing so well, but I think that my hectic Monday/Tuesday got to me, and I took some extra sleep. I was glad that I got in to the pool however, as on Friday and Sunday the pool is closed. There is a major swim meet that precludes my entire weekend swim schedule.
Today's swim with Dennis was great!!! Workout as follows:
- 200 swim/ 200 drill
- 12 x 25 kick @ 0:35
- 10 x 50 swim @ :50
- 5 x 100 pull @ 1:40
- 12 x 25 kick @ 0:35
- 10 x 50 swim @ 0:50
- 300 swim
Do you read Goop? It is Gwyneth Paltrow's website, and she writes all about her new clothes and recipes. The recipes are really good. Quite healthy and there is a ginger dressing that changed my life last spring. On top of avacado and watercress it is amazing. My chicken salad, which I substituted with turkey breast, was delicious and I made it with Vegenaise, which is Vegan mayonaise. I am really pleased with my turkey salad and plan to make it a Sloan staple.
Now, Goop does get somewhat annoying when old Gwynney starts telling me that if I buy a pair of Loubs and one Aleia jacket, I can make it through a whole season. I forgive her these foibles, however, for her recipes. Also, I once did her detox diet for a whole week, and I really enjoyed myself. I had beet juice every day, which I should start up again, by the way. I will do it after the swim Christmas party, which is on Sunday.
After some of my Turkey salad on an avocado for lunch and a Gilad workout, I headed into work for the afternoon and then off to swim. I only got in around 2500ish meters of swim. We practiced a lot of IM and did two good pull sets. It was a good workout. I had a Maggie Moo on the way home and headed home to watch Son of Rambow. It is GREAT!!!!

Bikram Yoga rocked. You'll have to check out the schedule, google bikram or hot yoga cool springs. Right up your alley.
