Wednesday: Day Three of No Real Obligations

SHINE!!!
Today, I actually accomplished quite a bit.  Friends brought me a super delicious lunch, and Ivan and I had a bit of socialization outside ourselves, which was nice.  Other Accomplishments included: one half of my thank you notes,  cutting and measuring fabric for Ivan's new shower curtains, cleaning two closets, prioritizing my New Yorker's and a significant amount of time nosing about on facebook and style.com to see what Karl Lagerfeld is up to.  I saw Lagerfeld Confidential a few years ago, and I think about Karl often.  I am fascinated by him for several reasons:

  1. He turned Chanel into a fashion world power
  2. He lost 92 pounds in 13 months, because he wanted to wear skinny jeans
  3. Before he lost 92 pounds he wore tarps and carried a fan
  4. He does not sleep
  5. I am pretty sure he subsists on Diet Coke and cocaine
  6. I envy his eclectic book collection
  7. Once when PETA tried to throw a tofu pie in his face for wearing fur, he ducked and the pie hit Calvin Klein
  8. He refuses to be be seen without his sunglasses, which I would sometimes like to do
There are several other reasons that I am interested in Karl, but the list gets too long.  Anyway, he and I are quite caught up now that I have had a chance to peruse all day on Style.com

I will say that this having to hang about the house like I was on a sad holiday that I didn't really want to take feels a bit like a punishment for an offense I did not have any part in committing;  sort of like Lady Jane Grey.

Anyway, looking forward, I think I will do a tester run on Saturday, just to see how things feel.  I think I will do some yoga tomorrow, and keep my fingers crossed about swimming.  I haven't even thought about my marathon.  Oooh, and massage tomorrow morning!!!  Very exciting!!!

SO, for day four of no real obligations:
  • massage
  • yoga
  • thank you notes
  • completion of shower curtain project
WILL IT ALL GO AS PLANNED??
